HIDDEN MESSAGE: Write with white crayon today's lesson. Ask children to read the message from where they are. Now carefully fold & dip paper in liquid with red food colouring (4-5 drops). After about one minute, remove the paper and unfold onto a dry paper towel. The message will become visible. This compares to how Jesus told the disciples that he would be killed and would rise again on the third day. The disciples did not fully understand what He was saying until Sunday morning when He actually rose from the grave. The white message on white paper represents how the disciples could not easily understand what Jesus was saying. [Kids Sunday School Place]
IN THE TOMB, OUT OF THE TOMB: Children line up next to a large rope facing the leader. The right side of the line is "In the Tomb" and the left side of the line is "Out of the Tomb." The leader yells either "In the tomb," or "Out of the tomb.” Upon hearing the command, the children jump from one side to the other. If the children jump in the wrong direction or don't jump to the other side when it's a valid command they are out of the game. The last player still in wins the game. [Kids Sunday School Place]
