Material

Instructions

Make crosses (masking tape) on the floor for each child.
The balloon represents Zacchaeus.
the children are the townspeople, and they try to keep the balloon (Zacchaeus) off the ground without stepping off of their piece of tape.
If the group is large, add extra balloons into the mix.

The people of the town didn’t like Zacchaeus and didn’t want him to come down from the tree to spend time with Jesus. No matter what we have done in the past, Jesus loves us and is willing to forgive us, so we need to be willing to show that same grace others.

Lesson snacks food - Zacchaeus' conversion

Ingredients

5 cups rice bubbles
125 g butter
¼ cup sugar
3 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Chocolate finger
Gummie Bear

MInstructions

Serves 16

Melt the honey, butter and sugar in a saucepan over a medium heat.
Bring to the boil. Boil for about 3 minutes (when colour changes to a light caramel, and when the mixture thickens you can run a wooden spoon through it and you are able to create a channel that holds for a few seconds).
Remove from the heat and stir through the vanilla, it will bubble a bit when you do this.
Stir in the rice bubbles.
Shape mixture and place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Refrigerate until solid (approx 30-60).
